Description | Cinmethylin is a herbicide developed for the selective pre-emergence control of many annual grass weeds in a wide range of temperate and tropical crops. It was developed as a herbicide for use in transplanted rice at low application rates. The herbicide works by inhibiting tyrosine aminotransferase activity in target plants. This blocks the conversion of tyrosine to 4-HPP (4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate). |
